OUTREACH
Outreach Ministries provide opportunities to give both financially and of our time and talent towards sharing the Good News and helping those in need.
The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor, He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind
to set the oppressed free. ~Luke 4:18

We break the cycle of poverty so families and communities can thrive.
The Quilt & Kit Ministry:
Volunteer to quilt for kids and families in need
Often, when natural disasters strike or war drives families from their homes, our hearts ache with compassion but we don’t know how to help. If you’ve wondered how to volunteer to quilt for charity look no further. Making Lutheran World Relief Mission Quilts is a tangible way to express love to our neighbors in need. Quilts can be used as warm bedding, simple tents or floor coverings. Each one reflects God’s loving presence in a world rife with suffering.

HOW IT WORKS
As members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), we believe that God is calling us into the world – together. And with generous, loving hands, we can make a difference.
ELCA Good Gifts is our opportunity to provide critical support to the ministries and programs that mean the most to us and the people we love.
1. Choose your gift
Our very own Sunday school children will do activities through out the year and help choose the gifts that mean the most to us, or choose gifts to give in honor of friends and loved ones.
We have noisy can Sundays and other ways to help the Gethsemane-ELCA children in our congregation raise money each year to donate to all kinds of things that help others locally and around the world.
2. Get a card
If your gift is in honor of a friend or loved one, it’s easy to tell him or her about it.
Give online and you may personalize free, printed cards to be sent directly to your loved ones. You may also select to send the cards to yourself, print them at home, or have them delivered via email. Select your card options during checkout. Note: These options are available only when you give online.
Make your check payable to “ELCA Good Gifts.” To designate your gift, write your gift(s) on the memo line of your check or include a copy of this order form.

3. Where your money goes
Every project in every community starts with listening. We believe that our congregations, companion churches and partners know their communities best. That’s why they identify the needs and priorities in their communities, as well as the solutions they believe will make the biggest impact.
The items in this catalog are real examples from projects currently supported through different churchwide ministries. The projects have been planned by our partners – meaning that each community receives exactly the kind of support they need and none of what they don’t.
Your donation will be used where it is needed most within the wider category of each gift you’ve selected. This allows our church to stay adaptive, flexible and effective in the work that we do. Because we seek to honor your generosity and keep administrative costs low, we do not track individual financial gifts to specific families or locations in the U.S. or abroad.
More than 85 percent of your gifts directly support our programs. Less than 15 percent is used for administration and fundraising.
Your gift is tax-deductible as allowed by law. You’ll receive a receipt of your gift for your records.
What are ELCA Good Gifts?
ELCA Good Gifts are a creative, meaningful way to support the ministries of the ELCA that mean the most to you and your loved ones. These gifts are real examples from projects currently supported through ELCA churchwide ministries: the ELCA Fund for Leaders, ELCA Global Church Sponsorship, ELCA New Congregations, ELCA Vision for Mission, ELCA World Hunger, Disability Ministries and Lutheran Disaster Response. Each of these programs is a long-term, partnership-based ministry that focus on the needs identified by local congregations and global companion churches and their communities.
Can I specify where my gift will be going or track where my donation was used?
The ELCA is at work in nearly 80 countries around the world, including the United States. Because we seek to honor your generosity and keep administrative costs low, we do not track individual financial gifts to specific families or locations in the U.S. or abroad.

Gethsemane, ELCA supports several food programs with the donation of
food items, the New Berlin Food Pantry is one of them, we collect non perishable foods and donate monthly.
We also serve meals at the Hope Center.
Food banks and food pantries like New Berlin Food Pantry organize the collection of food donations and distribution to those in need. Most non-profit hunger relief organizations like New Berlin Food Pantry rely on volunteers and donations from people with big hearts that don't want anyone in need to go hungry. Visit the New Berlin Food Pantry to donate or volunteer and make your community hunger-free.

Make A Donation
Any donation made to Mr. Bob's Under the Bridge goes directly to our friends. We take monetary donations, clothing items, hygiene items, food, and more. Please see our donation for how to donante.
Mr. Bob's Under the Bridge fosters a community of compassion and friendship by providing basic necessities such as clothing and hygiene products to the homeless, those who need support, and the surrounding Milwaukee community.
Mr. Bob's prides itself on being a mobile organization. Not only does our truck allow us to help our friends at different locations, but our four-stall shower trailer can also follow the outreach truck to offer a safe and place to bathe. No matter where we can provide services to our friends.
Every Saturday morning, we have an outreach. Items such as clothes, hygiene kits, and snacks are distributed at each location. Our volunteers all work together to make sure our friends get the resources they need. Our mission is to let our friends know that we care. We want everyone to leave with a smile.
Our Contributors
Mr. Bob’s Under the Bridge is 100% funded by donations for our operations. Your generosity and support are crucial to our ability to serve our friends. Donations come in many forms, from dropping off your gently used items at our Monday or Thursday night sorting, to donating your time volunteering at a Saturday morning outreach. We appreciate all donations, no matter the size.
Our mission is to serve others. By providing our time and energy, we make a positive impact on our friends' lives. We are a volunteer-run organization, so we are beyond thankful for our volunteers. It takes many kind and generous people to make Mr. Bob's succeed.
